Brian
S. St. John
At
an early age Brian began to show a unique interest in logo design
and drafting. His explorations continued throughout high school
where he became a staff artist at Coronado
High School. Soon after completing high school Brian started
to exhibit his paintings and drawings at well know artists’
venues e.g., Rio Bravo Gallery (1994), El Paso Art Association
(1994), Dolce Vita (1995), The
Attic (1996), Galleria Mora (1997), and Carmen
Hair Salon (1997). In 1997 St. John became a cofounder of
a new artists’ gallery named World
art. Levels.
Brian’s
career at the Federal Reserve Bank of El Paso began in 1998. It
was in 1999 that he requested a transfer to the Federal Reserve
Bank of San Francisco where he could seek new opportunities and
pursue a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, major in Graphic Design
at the Academy of Art College San Francisco. Brian currently holds
a Technical Analyst position at the Federal Reserve Bank of San
Francisco and continues to excel in his academic career at the
Academy of Art University.
During
his time in Oakland, St. John has worked on several freelance
projects e.g., Humanatek
(2002), Clifton
Carter (2003), Simplexis
Wi-Fi (2004), Urbanet
(2004), and Dolores Huerta
Foundation (2004). Recently, Brian had an exhibition of new
paintings at Rooz
Café.
Despite
being extremely busy with many projects, St. John has made time
to volunteer for Hope Worldwide (2003) when designing a mural
for Parker School Elementary in Oakland, California.
Brian
hopes to continue his pursuit of fine art and graphic design.
Some goals include; working with community leaders to deliver
positive change, collaborate with other artists to create exhibitions
that serve as catalysts for new movements, writing provocative
books, teaching and public speaking.
